Catherine Rubin is an affiliate printmaker working out of Discover Graphics Atelier, at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. Catherine has a masters degree in Creative Art Therapy and has spent close to two decades of her life helping others learn to express themselves through art making and heal through creativity. She discovered printmaking twenty years ago, during a summer internship at Pyramid Atlantic, and has found that carving speaks to her in a way that no other art form does. Catherine uses vibrant colors in her work to traverse the landscapes of meaning and rediscovery, navigating through the depths of human experience. Her work explores the joy found in small moments, along side of fantasy elements. Her work was recently featured at the 2024 Hill Center Juried Regional Exhibition.
